Owls are magic. Their history, as described in mythology and literature, is rich. Where would Athena be without her owl, or Harry without his Hedwig? Symbolizing wisdom, death and renewal, magic and power owls are remarkable in every sense. This owl is a rare French brass stamping done in Art Deco style. It is three dimensional and highly detailed, sitting on a crescent moon adorned with a swirl of clouds. The stamping is secured in a lace edged setting riveted to a fluted silver-plated disk and backed by antique brass filigree. All pieces are riveted to a blackened brass cuff that measures about six inches in length. The cuff measures about two inches at its widest point.
