Season of the Dragonfly

Season of the Dragonfly Cuff - Vintage Assemblage Jewelry

One singularly beautiful, very vintage Czech Glass button is the deserving focal on this handmade cuff bracelet. The pinkish purple button, measuring one and a quarter inches in diameter, holds a raised green and orange dragonfly image. The Japanese revere dragonflies as they symbolize summer and autumn; Samurai believe them to be symbols of power, agility and victory. In China the dragonfly stands for prosperity, harmony and good luck. The button is set in a crown setting, then backed by a brass aqua Patina’d stamping and a large Envious Green colored filigree. The assemblage is riveted to an antique brass plated cuff and finished with two Patina’d leaf stampings embellished with tiny purple Swarovskis. At its widest the cuff measures slightly less than two inches; it is about six inches wide. All metal pieces have been sealed and waxed to preserve the finish. This cuff fits best on medium sized wrists.
