First Frost Twisted Vine Necklace

First Frost Twisted Vine Necklace

$50.00

I have fallen in love with the Japanese art of braiding, kumihimo. Case in point, the "vine" on this 21-inch long necklace that I created by braiding together eight strands of tiny Czech glass beads resulting in a supple, sturdy rope. The beads are soft faded turquoise green with a shimmery glaze that looks like a light frost. Smaller bronze beads accent the turquoise beads. The ends of the rope are secured in deep bronze tulips topped with vintage brass leafy bead caps. A handmade leaf-shaped clasp, measuring about 1 1/2 inches, closes the necklace and can also act as a focal if worn on the side.  Organic and simple, this necklace is a reminder that beauty can be found no matter what the season.
