Of all the assemblage cuffs I've ever created this is my favorite. Named for my Romanian great grandmother, the Iuliana Cuff features two extremely rare brass gargoyle stampings from the 1960s. Gargoyles, you know, are not evil creatures, but rather they protect those they guard by frightening away evil spirits. These gargoyles bracket a super rare, vintage, heavy jet glass cabochon coated in a remarkable copper metallic finish. The cabochon, measuring about 30 by 40 millimeters, has an amazing diamond cut bezel at its base just to add that extra sparkle. It is set in a vintage beaded frame and backed by antique brass filigree. The cuff itself is substantial; it's been treated to mawjanga's rusty Island Gypsy patina. All brass pieces are patina'd, sealed and waxed. The cuff components are riveted together; this is a very solid, sturdy piece.
