Stellaluna Earrings

Those who love bats don't need a reason to wear bat jewelry all year long. These sparkling bats are solid sterling silver, dangling upside down and ready, perhaps, to rest after a long adventurous night. These little creatures are extremely detailed, both front and back; oxidation makes facial expressions and bone structure clear. The bats are suspended from a faceted rondelle of gray moonstone wire wrapped in sterling wire so that it appears to be tangled in a spider's web. Ear wires are, of course, long, graceful, and hand made. The bats measure 11/16 of an inch wide by 10/16 of an inch high. The moonstone dangle is 10/16 of an inch long. The entire drop measure 1 5/16 inches. The sterling ear wires are 1 1/4 inches long. Ear nuts will be included just to be sure these bats don't fly away!
